Zyprexa maker Eli Lilly fined $1.4 Billion

Some good news on the psych drug fraud front: the manufacturer of Zyprexa, Eli Lilly, has been slapped on the wrist with a fine in the amount of 1.4 Billion dollars. Here’s a good Fox video about this win for those who have been trying to rein in the psychiatric drug fraud.

Considering the amount of money made by Eli Lilly from Zyprexa, this huge fine is, in reality, no more than a slap on the wrist. But there are other provisions which require them to mend their ways or they will face even more fines and criminal charges.

People are dying while using this drug. The drug makes kids obese and causes diabetes. Those at Eli Lilly responsible for creating and promoting it ought to be put in jail and forced to take the “five at five” as their promo says, 5 mg at 5PM of Zyprexa is the equivalent of a chemical straightjacket.

My father was poisoned to death with Zyprexia, and Risperdal. The people who killed my father made off like bandits.

There is no amount of money that can repay us for our loss.

I was prescribed zyprexa in 1998 I never had scizophrenia but bipolar two years later i was diagnosed with chronic diabetes (insulin dependent) and uncontrolable sugar levels which have caused four strokes Weight gain enormous and two years ago diagnosed with tardive diskenesia which has wrecked my central nervous system and told I have to just put up with it for rest of my life Why? Lily has got away with many cases and while they make billions in profits the little compensation pay outs are miniscule The drug should be banned as it’s used in nursing homes etc for inappropriate reasons.
