Beck”s music reviewed by Megan Giddings of BlogCritics.org. Megan seems disturbed that Beck is a low-key Scientologist celebrity. He hasn’t gone jumping on Oprah’s couch, but you know, he probably would if given the chance. And he’d do it with bunch of bears, and many guys dressed up as women. Beck’s a hoot, and not the only famous musician celebrity Scientologist. Can you say “Chick Corea” or “Isaac Hayes”,”David Pomerantz” or “Mark Isham”?
Why do celebrities turn to Scientology to help them succeed? Well, for one thing, it can help get them off drugs, help them to communicate, help make them more responsible for themselves and their own careers (instead of blaming agents or managers), and let’s not forget the most important reason – it helps make them more creative and aware, without any drugs. And it does all those things despite being hounded by special interests and hate groups.
So some celebrities get out and jump on couches — in any world this is better than drowing in their own puke (John Bonham, Jim Morrison, River Phoenix) in a drug-induced stupor.
But hey, it’s a free country and you can think what you want. You don’t have to think what everyone else thinks — it’s possible to have an original thought of your own.
Go on, I dare you to!
