You've found the blog of Jere Matlock, a web designer and writer. This journal is mostly about writing, web design and getting sites to the top of the search engines (SEO is my business). It is also full of opinions and observations about pretty much everything. If these things are not of interest to you, feel free to go now. Go on, shoo!
Still here? If you have something to say, post a comment or send me an email.
By the way, if you feel like taking offense at something posted on this site, go right ahead, it won't bother me a bit. Kingsley Amis has a nice quote about that, in which I take solace and some pride when the flames arrive:
"If you can't annoy somebody, there's little point in writing."

My friends over at Citizens Commission on Human Rights, the psych watchdog group, have launched a new website with tons of great content.
If you’ve ever wondered why psychiatry seems to keep worming its way into your life with more and more invasive, government-mandated programs, this site will fill you in on the mind-boggling amount of money in psychiatric drugs that is funding this push.
I was especially appalled by their article on what amounts to forced drugging of American armed forces personnel on active duty in Iraq, and returning veterans and the …

Just received this fan letter from Lynda in the UK, about our Google AdWords Tutorial.

“Blimey! That was a great read! There have been several “make money with adwords” ebooks/programs I have bought that have still left me blind, but this info, was practically everything I needed to know, so in depth, and best of all, it was free! Not many actually give their knowledge away, unless its for a hefty price in return. Thankyou! I have the confidence to get on with adwords now, knowing some tips and the advice you gave. I …

We went to Oregon Country Fair on Saturday. My main purpose was to get a pair of hand-made boots. While taking loads of photos of the costumed revelers, I had a great time with my grandkids, daughters and significant other. Oregon Country Fair 2009 was a bit colder than the last time we went (about ten years ago). My gal had purchased two pairs of boots back then made by Hank Zander of Happy Feets (Dillard, Oregon) and she really liked them, so I thought it was time for me to get a pair. My feet get really cold in …

This site makes tragic mockery of big Pharma, by helping you generate your own made-up pseudo-medical term for a bogus mental disorder, so you too can get rich quick off your harmful chemicals: Disease Mongering Engine.
If is quite funny, as it steps you through the paces of how to make a fortune from your own toxic, harmful chemicals.

Here in her own words is Amy Philo, who survived her nightmare experience with psych drugs recommended to her as a new mother, and is warning other mothers and mothers-to-be to stay away from psych drugs.
For more information, or if you have a similar story and want to speak out, contact me or get in touch with CCHR here to Report Psychiatric Abuse.

I attended the TEA Party protest in Coos Bay today from about noon til about 2:00 PM. It was a polite gathering of about 150 to 200 people who are pretty much fed up with the way we are being taxed and with the current political situation in America.
I held a sign for a couple of hours next to Highway 101 Northbound and listened to several speakers, including the Libertarian candidate for the Governor of Oregon (didn’t catch his name). What I noticed most standing there was that the vast majority of the people who drove by our …
