You've found the blog of Jere Matlock, a web designer and writer. This journal is mostly about writing, web design and getting sites to the top of the search engines (SEO is my business). It is also full of opinions and observations about pretty much everything. If these things are not of interest to you, feel free to go now. Go on, shoo!

Still here? If you have something to say, post a comment or send me an email.

By the way, if you feel like taking offense at something posted on this site, go right ahead, it won't bother me a bit. Kingsley Amis has a nice quote about that, in which I take solace and some pride when the flames arrive:

"If you can't annoy somebody, there's little point in writing."

Injunction requested by Church of Scientology against the Anonymous terrorists

More on the terrorist activities of the Anonymous group in the Injunction filed by the Church of Scientology asking for relief and to keep them 500 feet away from our buildings. When you get enough bomb threats (dozens of them recently) and when you get enough harrassing phone calls (thousands of them) and when people in your church have been shot (in my church, in Portland, 12 years ago) by wackos like these Anonymous creeps, you ought to be entitled to some protection under the law. We’ll see what the courts say.

And here is a newspaper article - from the St. Petersburg Times - in response to a news article about Anonymous:

This article explains that this same group hacked a bunch of MySpace accounts some time ago, for no reason other than criminal mischief.

When Fox News reported on it, they hacked the Fox News website.

They put a statement on the Fox News site, about their own intentions:

“We are the face of chaos… We ruin the lives of other people simply because we can … Hundreds die in a plane crash. We laugh. The nation mourns over school shooting, we laugh. We’re the embodiment of humanity with no remorse, no caring, no love, or no sense of morality.”
