You've found the blog of Jere Matlock, a web designer and writer. This journal is mostly about writing, web design and getting sites to the top of the search engines (SEO is my business). It is also full of opinions and observations about pretty much everything. If these things are not of interest to you, feel free to go now. Go on, shoo!

Still here? If you have something to say, post a comment or send me an email.

By the way, if you feel like taking offense at something posted on this site, go right ahead, it won't bother me a bit. Kingsley Amis has a nice quote about that, in which I take solace and some pride when the flames arrive:

"If you can't annoy somebody, there's little point in writing."

Tom Cruise sites

Here are some sites about Tom Cruise that I’ve been meaning to link to. They give a better understanding of the whole “silent birth” fracas the press kicked up. When my children were born through cesarean section, my wife and I insisted on as little noise and chatter between the medical staff as possible. They can do their work without joking around or needless chatter, and that’s all we requested.

Here’s a doctor backing up Tom’s message about prescriptions of psychotropic drugs being harmful. And here’s the NY Times story about Paxil - Antidepressant May Raise Suicide Risk” saying that GlaxoSmithKline has warned that Paxil appears to increase the risk of suicide attempts in some young adults.

Here’s the blog of a fellow traveler Annie Goth about the same subject psychotropic drugs.
